Did you miss me?

I’m BAAACK! I guess I never quite went away so much as I got really busy, distracted, stressed, ashamed of my spending, and all of these things in various combinations and degrees. It seemed overwhelming to try to catch up after a family trip in November (and a spendy one at that), and I just never quite tried, especially knowing the downwards slide would be coming with the holidays.

So yes, it came. Spacing out gift buying actually seemed to be a good and less-painful strategy for us, but surely into the new year we have all myriad of new things to try to save for, pay for, fix, etc. so don’t worry, plenty more misadventures where this all came from. We did buy a 3D printer for Christmas for the boys, and by “we” I mean my husband and by “the boys” I mean him too, because he seems to dig it. Time will tell how useful it is, but it does seem pretty cool, but it needs this filament to operate, and in lots of different colors, so my husband ordered them. It may end up becoming an expensive little toy!

Last week was that weird foggy space between holidays where kids are off school, we are off work, and we don’t know what day it is, and then it was back to reality for just 2 days. So, these expenses are probably atypical and maybe a little less than I’d have expected from us at only about $554. That will change with this week I am sure, if the flood of Amazon boxes arriving are any clue. *cringes*
