Week ending 1/20: Joint Expenses

Well, a grand total of $2330, which after the spend-a-palooza the last week or so, is not terrible. A home improvement project (minor one) is wrapping up some, and another one will likely ramp up in February, so it’s overall not so bad.

I have been struggling with groceries lately. Not just the expense (which is UGH) but the logistics of it. I find I am dreading going, or I have to do quick hits because stuff is out of stock at some places. And with some travel I just can’t seem to get my meal prep and inventory levels in a steady, normal flow. Here’s hoping it is just the weirdness of January and that will change.

We had a day to try to entertain our kids and two friends while school was out, and thankfully we had free jump passes to use, so what could have been like a $200 day was only about $40. I remember when I used to look forward to long weekends! Maybe one day I will again.

Anyway, onward. January tends to be a slow-moving downer of a month, but this one has gone mercifully quickly in some ways. Feb, here we come.
