Your Imperfect Example for Budgeting Wisely-ish

This one was a quiet week, but hey, no complaints here. The Apple changes mystify me but that’s partially because 1) home sharing means I never know what’s getting purchased and by whom and 2) half the time it isn’t the right credit card. Weirdly, I am trusting and figure it’s always legit so I never worry. I saw a funny meme once that was like “Apple charges me $9.99, 5.99 and $11.99 at regular intervals and frankly it’s none of my business why” and I felt that hard.
As for car insurance well, given how premiums have gone up so much, I shouldn’t be too sad about it being about a 20% increase over the last couple of years.
The dopamine rush I get from shopping still makes me hate myself a little bit. Does that ever go away? Are some of us just hard-wired for it? But at least when it’s buying practical things I need (underwear) on sale and very well-priced, it feels less bad after. For about $1k spent but half on car insurance for 6 months, I am pretty happy with the week.
